Terms &
Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Norlands online store and purchases made through our website. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
By accessing the Norlands online store, creating an account, or submitting an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Specific quotations, purchase orders, custom manufacturing agreements or other written agreements issued by Norlands may contain additional terms. Where those specific written terms conflict with these Terms, the specific written agreement will apply to that order.
About These Terms
This online store is operated by Norlands Box Company (“Norlands”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a packaging company based in British Columbia, Canada.
These Terms apply to visitors, customers and businesses purchasing products through the Norlands online store. By using the store or placing an order, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into the transaction.
Products & Availability
Norlands offers packaging products and related supplies through the online store. Product descriptions, dimensions, materials, quantities, images and specifications are provided to help customers select the appropriate product.
Product availability may change without notice. Items shown as available may occasionally become unavailable before an order is processed due to inventory adjustments, production requirements or other circumstances.
If an ordered product becomes unavailable, we may contact you to offer an alternative, adjust the order, provide an estimated availability date or issue a refund for the unavailable item.
Orders & Order Acceptance
Submitting an order through the website is an offer to purchase the selected products. Receiving an automated order confirmation does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted or prepared for shipment.
Norlands may review an order before fulfilment and may contact the customer if additional information, payment verification or clarification is required.
We reserve the right, where permitted by law, to decline or cancel an order where there is an obvious pricing or product information error, suspected fraud, payment failure, inventory issue or another legitimate reason preventing fulfilment.
Pricing, Currency & Taxes
Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed through the Canadian Norlands online store are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Applicable sales taxes, shipping charges and other charges, where applicable, will be shown during checkout before the customer submits the order.
Prices may change from time to time. A price change will not normally affect an order that has already been accepted, except where an obvious pricing error has occurred and subject to applicable law.
Payment
Customers must provide complete and accurate payment and billing information when placing an order.
Available payment methods will be displayed at checkout. Payment may be processed by third-party payment providers, and use of those payment services may also be subject to the provider's own terms and privacy practices.
An order may be delayed or cancelled if payment cannot be authorized or verified.
Shipping & Delivery
Available shipping or delivery options, estimated costs and available destinations will be displayed during checkout whenever applicable.
Delivery dates and transit times are estimates unless Norlands has expressly agreed to a guaranteed delivery date in writing. Delays may occur due to carriers, weather, supply conditions, production issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for ensuring that the delivery location can safely receive the order.
Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Orders
Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If an order arrives damaged, incomplete or materially different from what was ordered, please contact Norlands within 5 business days of delivery.
To help us resolve the issue quickly, we may request the order number, photographs of the product and packaging, quantities affected and a description of the issue.
Where a verified issue is caused by Norlands or occurs during shipment, we may provide a replacement, correction, credit or refund as appropriate and as required by applicable law.
Returns & Refunds
Eligible standard stock products may be considered for return when a return request is submitted within 14 days of delivery.
Unless the product is defective or Norlands supplied an incorrect item, returned products must generally be:
- Unused
- Unmodified
- In their original packaging
- In clean and resalable condition
- Approved for return by Norlands before being shipped back
Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless the return results from an error by Norlands or where otherwise required by law.
Refunds for approved returns will be processed using an appropriate payment method after the returned products have been received and inspected.
Custom, Printed & Made-to-Order Products
Custom-manufactured, custom-sized, custom-printed, personalized or otherwise made-to-order products are produced specifically for the customer and are normally not eligible for standard returns or exchanges once production has begun.
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving applicable specifications, dimensions, artwork, proofs, quantities and other production details before final approval.
Once a customer approves a proof or production specification, Norlands may rely on that approval when manufacturing the order.
Order Cancellations & Changes
If you need to cancel or change an order, please contact Norlands as soon as possible.
Standard product orders may be cancelled when the request is received before the order has entered processing, preparation or shipment.
Custom or made-to-order products may not be cancellable after materials have been allocated, artwork has been approved, tooling has been prepared or production has started.
Product Images, Materials & Manufacturing Variations
We make reasonable efforts to present products accurately. However, screens, photography, lighting and production materials can cause minor differences between product images and physical products.
Packaging products may also have reasonable manufacturing variations in colour, surface texture, material appearance, dimensions, print placement, board characteristics or finish.
These normal variations do not necessarily indicate that a product is defective.
Product Selection & Intended Use
Customers are responsible for selecting packaging that is suitable for their intended product, application, storage, transportation and operating environment.
Where specific performance, food-contact, weight, temperature, moisture, regulatory or technical requirements apply, customers should rely only on specifications expressly stated by Norlands or confirmed by us in writing.
If you are uncertain whether a product is suitable for a particular application, please contact Norlands before ordering.
Artwork & Intellectual Property
The Norlands name, logo, website design, product photography, graphics and other website content are owned by or licensed to Norlands and may not be copied, reproduced or commercially used without permission except as permitted by law.
Customer-supplied artwork
When submitting artwork, logos, photographs, designs, trademarks or other materials for a custom order, the customer confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions for Norlands to use those materials to produce the order.
Acceptable Use of the Website
You may use the Norlands store only for lawful purposes. You must not intentionally interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts, submit fraudulent orders, misuse promotional offers or use automated methods in a way that materially disrupts the operation of the website.
Product Warranties
Norlands stands behind products supplied in accordance with confirmed specifications and applicable legal requirements.
Except for warranties expressly provided by Norlands in writing or warranties and consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded, products are supplied subject to the specifications and conditions stated at the time of sale.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Norlands will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the website or products where such losses were not reasonably foreseeable or directly caused by a breach by Norlands.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, statutory rights, warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Privacy & Personal Information
Information provided when browsing the store, creating an account, requesting information or placing an order may be collected and used to operate the website, process transactions, communicate with customers, provide support and meet legal or operational requirements.
Additional information about how personal information is collected, used and protected should be reviewed in the Norlands Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict any mandatory rights or protections available to a customer under applicable consumer protection or other legislation.
Changes to These Terms
Norlands may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes to the store, our products, business practices or legal requirements.
The version published on this page will include the date of the latest update.
